Hair, like skin, absorbs everyday elements from the weather and what you put into it. Our favorite styling tools, if used everyday will eventually become our worst enemy.
Just like the warning; "Avoid over sun exposure because it can lead to skin cancer", you must also; "Avoid over heated styling tools because it can lead to frizzy hair".
But there's hope.
Some tips to prevent frizzy hair are:
- Let hair air-dry naturally as much as possible.
- Protect hair prior to using heated styling tools. You use a sunscreen on your face and body prior to tanning, then so you should follow the same ritual for your hair.
- After washing hair, apply an all natural leave in conditioning balm, like Lush's R & B, to seal in moisture.
- Get hair permanently curled or straigthened to avoid using heated styling tools.
- If hair feels lifeless, compare it to your skin and nails. If they are drier or brittle, feed your body healthy foods. Eat or drink fruits and veggies daily to get your hair back into shape. Remember you are what you eat and please avoid smoking as this will worsen your health including your skin and hair.
