The morning begins for me as any other in my world, up, dressed, send the kids off to school and get ready to go out for some shopping. As I finish racing through the house I grab my toque from the desk, pull it down over my ears and sigh to myself as I head out the door.
It is another day like any other but for me it means I will be going out into the big bad world and will be seen...As a tricher... Being seen can be painful and embarassing. So I have found that keeping my hair short and wearing toques or scarves is a more viable solution. Well many of you are now asking... WHAT is a TOQUE... in Canadian terms...a winter hat or a wool cap worn in winter to keep your head warm.
I am sitting here wondering, what do other trichers do to *fit* into society. So I guess I am challenging you all to share your head gear, the things that make you feel beautiful and complete. For me it is my purple striped toque with the little butterfly in the corner... and in summer I tend to wear my scarves as they are a bit cooler on the head, but Winnie the Pooh definitely has a spot on my noggin and defines me as the unique and youthful person I want to be. I don't have to wear these things when I go into public but for me it offers me a way to fit into our society that is often a *hair* based world. So please do share with us...tell us what Toque makes you feel Beautrichful!
